(PRWEB) August 10, 2006 -- Hidden amongst the rolling hills of the Exe Valley, Hatswell Meadows offers the bride and groom-to-be a distinctive, personal and private wedding venue and honeymoon location in one. At Hatswell Meadows, the emphasis is on the couple planning every detail of the wedding just the way they want it, without unnecessary restriction. The house, which has accommodation for 8/10 in four bedrooms (2 en-suite), can comfortably host up to 30 guests, and provides the option of two sumptuous rooms within which the ceremony can be performed.
“ There are an abundance of beautiful places to get married in Devon, but there did not seem to be anywhere small, intimate and quiet where you can tailor every aspect of your wedding to suit your own styl... ”
The first of these rooms is the generous lounge area, which measures 21x18ft, and includes a feature hand crafted stone fireplace and decadent furnishings, creating an intimate and cosy setting for a wedding at any time of the year. The extensive (23x22ft) limestone floored gallery hall provides the second ceremony venue. This glorious room, which boasts full length windows that span the height of the house, is focused around the bespoke galleried stairwell, and the craftsman that did its iron work is said to have gone on to help with the restoration of Windsor Castle. French doors open out from this room into the rose adorned front garden, creating a feeling of space and light that permeates the house.
These ceremony rooms, like the rest of the house have been decorated and furnished with the utmost care and attention to detail, combining antique and modern furnishings, oak and limestone floors and under floor heating throughout to create a luxurious and inviting interior. The honeymoon suite in particular, with its imported American sleigh bed and man sized honey marble and gold en-suite, invites utter relaxation and pampering. Moreover, the spacious country style kitchen, complete with Aga is ample to take care of any catering needs – you can even hire your own personal chef.
Outside, the 20 acre estate which features ¾ mile of picturesque river frontage, bluebell wood and landscaped gardens is yours for your sole use during your wedding, and provides the ideal backdrop for stunning photography, making your day truly memorable.
Clive Edwards, who owns and manages Hatswell Meadows, says “There are an abundance of beautiful places to get married in Devon, but there did not seem to be anywhere small, intimate and quiet where you can tailor every aspect of your wedding to suit your own style. Moreover, due to it’s proximity to Devon’s breathtaking moors, historic cities and glorious beaches, it also makes a romantic and luxurious honeymoon location.
Hire of Hatswell Meadows, owned by Devon cottage company Country Cottage Plus (www.countrycottageplus.co.uk) for weddings, including a 4 night stay costs from just £745.
