(PRWEB) January 31, 2006 -- Using the best of both traditional and contemporary methods and materials, Darrell Peart continues a long tradition of superb craftsmanship and functional design with the introduction of the Aurora Media Cabinet.
“ GREENE AND GREENE: DESIGN ELEMENTS FOR THE WORKSHOP ”
The Aurora Media Cabinet is a Darrell Peart original that draws inspiration from a variety of sources including the designs of architects Charles and Henry Greene, the work of James Krenov, and the unique geometry of the Aurora Bridge in Seattle.
The cabinet features storage for electronic components concealed behind pocket doors and a removable back section for easy handling of wires. The unit’s six drawers provide ample storage for both CD’s and DVD’s.
Peart makes his furniture to order paying close attention to details such as grain match and tight fitting joinery. Clients can order the cabinet as a stock item with the standard mahogany finish or they may specify wood species, finish and even custom dimensions. Other options for customizing the cabinet include an electronic component section that swivels out for maximum access and a concealed flat screen TV compartment with a mechanized lift.
The Aurora Media Cabinet completes a series of eight original designs first conceived by Peart in 2002 for the Aurora collection. More designs to the collection are now on the drawing board and will be added later this year.
