It’s such a humbling moment to hold these exquisitely carved items in my hands considering a short while earlier, they were merely a plank of wood or a dried out tree branch. What’s most amazing is, these artists are armed with nothing more than a few old chisels and an axe.” She also adds that RWC will soon feature crafts from other parts of Asia, South America, Africa and Europe. In addition to bringing these wonderful handcrafted items to RWC’s customers, they are also lending a helping hand to help improving the artisans’ economic and social welfare. Unique and custom orders placed by RWC keep them busy and provide them with a stable stream of income.
