So the old home place needs a little sprucing up. The wood house siding was covered with aluminum siding forty years ago and now the aluminum siding paint is fading and peeling. Well at least no one had to do any painting in the last forty years, but now it is time to replace the aluminum siding with a new house siding material. The bushes no longer cover up the imperfections, and the neighbors have all given their homes a facelift a couple of years ago. You like the fake brick siding because of the color that it will bring to the mundane structure that has been white for a hundred years. But brick is just not right for this style of structure. But you do want color.

Check out the house siding material section of your local home improvement center and get some sample colors to take home or let them give you a look at their samples on a computer model. This is a great way to help you in your decision making. They will also be able to give you the cost of siding a house.
Whatever color you choose, make sure that it blends with the other neighborhood homes. If the budget approves, perhaps you should secure the services of an exterior designer. Don’t laugh, this decision is something that you are going to have to live with for several years to come. It is also going to affect to price of your home should you decide to sell it in a few years. So that got your attention I suppose. Perhaps your designer will suggest a white siding and add the color with shutters or a colored front door. This is something that can be easily changed should you tire of green or blue.
If the exterior designer is out of the question, perhaps your wife excels at decorating. You notice that I said your wife, because she is the one that is gong to have to be happy. If you are single, log in a few hours of HGTV and you should be up to the task at hand. Whatever you decide to do, have fun with it.
