Located in the luxurious hotel in Columbus, Latitude 41 features a menu of natural, organic and local ingredients combined in exciting ways to create tastes that are both familiar and new. The Columbus restaurant features warm tonal wood floors with a vibrant décor of saffron and crimson hues befitting a voyage of discovery. Service is crisp, and staff members are professional and extremely knowledgeable, thanks to Chef Max’s special attention to detail in training both front- and back-house staff on a daily basis.
Latitude 41’s extensive wine menu will showcase affordable wines organized by price range, along with a “Dean’s list” of higher priced choices hand selected by the executive chef. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, Latitude 41 will seat 180 guests and offer private seating for groups or more intimate gatherings, and the perfect setting for an Ohio romantic getaway dinner.
In addition, Bar 41, located adjacent to the restaurant, brings both the Columbus hotel and the city up to date with the revived trend of the chic hotel bar. Bar 41 features signature drinks, a special bar menu designed by Chef Max of Latitude 41, and plasma flat-screen TVs with a Direct TV package for a variety of entertainment options. From secluded breakfast meetings over Starbucks coffee in semi-private nooks, to an afternoon catching up via laptop and wireless Internet access from a relaxed, cozy lounge chair, Bar 41 is far more than a pre-dinner or after-hours evening destination – although it is all of that, too.
About the Chef
Dean James Max is a third generation “foodie” as his grandfather was a chef and his father a farmer and produce broker. Max credits his time living and learning in Italy with his decision to become a chef, and his classical training in French cuisine for his precise cooking technique. Max has held prominent culinary positions across the country, most recently as creator of his own restaurant and dining concept 3030 Ocean, located at Marriott’s prestigious Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale. Last year Max released his seafood cookbook, A Life by the Sea, available on Amazon.com and at most national book retailers. Gourmet magazine lauded Max’s modern American cuisine as “stylish” and “tongue-tingling” in a stellar review.
