“ We are God’s daughters, precious jewels who should not be bound by negative emotions and burdens. ”
BlessedLady.com an online Christian resource, offering devotionals and bible studies for women seeking encouragement and spiritual growth, celebrates it's one year anniversary.
Greensboro, NC (PR WEB) August 6, 2006 –-Shame, guilt, blame and self-doubt are negative emotions that many women have experienced at one time or another in their lives. The awareness of these emotions, which consistently surround women, prompted Melissa D.L. Jacobs to develop BlessedLady.com one year ago.
If you ask Ms. Jacobs why she feels women go through so much in life, her reply will be, “It all started with Eve.” She believes the negative emotions that continually plague women started long ago in the Garden of Eden. The story is a familiar one; Eve was deceived and as a result was blamed by Adam for causing him to sin.
Fast forward to present times and women continue to be blamed for numerous events that can occur in their lives. If a woman is raped, an investigator may want to know what she was wearing, why she went out with the “so-called” rapist, and her history of past relationships will often be brought up in court. Women who are physically abused are often told the abuse is the result of their actions and not due to the fact they are with violent men. Life mistakes made by women, far too often, carry heavier burdens and/or consequences, simply because women have been conditioned to carry these burdens.
BlessedLady.com is specifically designed for Christian women to encourage and empower them to grow spiritually in God. Devotionals and bible studies are offered on various topics such as, motherhood, spiritual growth, relationships and healing. Over the past year, women from all over the world have been able to utilize this online resource to assist them in dealing with real life issues.
Ms. Jacobs states, “We are God’s daughters, precious jewels who should not be bound by negative emotions and burdens. Yes, it started with Eve, but it ended with Jesus Christ. He paid the price to deliver us all from negative emotions which so easily beset us.”
As BlessedLady.com celebrates one year since it's inception, faithful visitors are guaranteed that they will always have a place on the world wide web which will offer encouragement and spiritual growth.
