Outdoor Wood Furnaces will be in Big Demand Again This Year

(PRWEB) July 20, 2006 -- As the 47-year-old farmer looked out over his cattle and alfalfa fields in 100 degree weather, people are already wondering how they will pay the cooling bills for this summer. Then they will turn around and be in for the real shock this year, higher heating costs for the upcoming winter.

While much of the United States is still under recording heat this time of year, it won't be long till old man winter returns.

Last winter it was not uncommon for homeowners to have $400 to $800 dollar a month heating bills. What can be done to lower heating costs? Some homeowners are turning back to the woods, to cutting up firewood for savings. They arealso looking online for alternative heating sources.

As with last winter's home heating billsthis years will be even more expensive with oil prices at record levels and expected to continue going up. Many Americans will be looking into alternative heating solutions for the winter time. Whether it be corn stoves, inside stoves or outside wood heaters the consumer will be making purchases to offset the high cost of home heating.

Many homeowners will wait until the last minute to make a decision to change heating alternatives. This will be as last year having manufacturers having large backorders of units. Last year was one of the best years wood furnace manufacturers have had since the oil crunch in the mid 70's.

With the new war in the Middle East, analysts say we could be driving using $4 dollar a gallon gas. If that is true home heating oil will also be very expensive.

Now should be the time to be looking into alternative heating sources for your home or shop. For many consumers, taking control of the heating bill is going to be a great way to save money during the winter.
