Aug. 3, 2005 -- Round Top Natural Soap Company, the Round Top-based maker of handmade soaps, lotions and other personal care products, announces the introduction of four new product lines for 2005. First introduced to the trade earlier this year, each line is created with a distinctive feel and fragrance.
The baseline, called “Heirloom”, finds its origins in the home of Round Top Natural Soap Company’s owners, Jann and Beau Schwarz. The Schwarz family lives on a farm outside of Round Top, in an early 1900’s Victorian home that was once located in Harrisburg, Texas. The house was moved to the farm in Round Top several years ago by Beau’s parents. This line brings to mind the many beautiful, somewhat elegant, patrician, and graceful keepsakes that would have been found in the home in its early years. The line includes soaps, lotions, body butters, lip balms, bath salts, foot creams and room sprays. Fragrances represented include My Mother’s Garden; Oatmeal, Milk & Honey; Stained Glass Window; Rosemary Mint; Buttermilk & Roses; Southern Gardenia; Almond Lace and Snickerdoodle.
An all-soap line, called Garden Club, includes six fresh-from-the garden colors and fragrances. All Round Top Natural Soap Company soaps are made with buttermilk and goat’s milk, both known for their emollient and smoothing properties. Jann also includes small amounts of oatmeal in each bar to help soothe and protect the skin from irritants. Soaps in the line include Gardener’s Lemon Mint, Honeysuckle, Texas Bluebonnet, Vanilla Bean, Citrus Basil and Bergamot Coriander.
The third new line for 2005, O’Lavender, consists of four unique lavender soaps and coordinating lotion, body butter, bath salts, lip balm and foot cream. Lavender inspired fragrances include Fields of Lavender, Lavender Chamomile, Lavender Patchouli and Lavender Mint.
Round Top Natural Soap Company introduces its first men’s line for 2005, called Beau’s Best. Named for owner, Beau Schwarz, this line defines the country gentleman. Products include soap, shaving cream, shaving soap, boot powder, foot cream, body butter and hand salve. These products are designed for the man who is at home in his Sunday best. Fragrances include Arabian Musk, Cowboy, Country Cognac and Roughhewn Spice.
Round Top Natural Soap Company originated in 1999 when Jann Schwarz made handmade soaps as Christmas gifts for her girlfriends. Her soaps, made with only the highest quality, natural ingredients, met with rave reviews.
