In a recent article on the dumbest renovation fads, CNN Money writer Duo Dickinson commented, "people think they need enough space to cook banquets for 16," but what they really needed is a more practical approach. While some homeowners may wish to open up their kitchens, especially those with older galley-style kitchens, a major kitchen renovation is not only an impractical choice, but also a very expensive one.
