ABOUT US AND ORDERING INFORMATION
PLEASE NOTE: Unless noted with "Free Shipping" all items on this web site are shipped at an additional packing and shipping fee of 12% of the order total, for shipping inside the Continental US only. This is for door-to-door delivery only. For inside delivery for large pieces, please call or e-mail as these charges can be substantial. For orders shipped outside the Continental US, we will e-mail the additional shipping charges to you for your approval before we authorize your credit card.
Also please be aware that if shipping outside the US, you may have to
pay customs duties at time of delivery. Please call your local Customs
Office to find out what these taxes will be as you, the customer, are

Welcome to G.I. Designs as seen in Garden Design, Homestyle, Small Gardens, Southern Living, European Homes and Gardens and National Gardening magazines as well as seen at Sunset magazine's 2000 Idea House. In addition, we have fabricated all the copper arbors, tripods, benches and the dragonfly sculpture at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Our collection of attractive, affordable copper and brass creations will make the perfect addition to your home or garden. Please understand, we are not just a retailer of copper and brass products. We fabricate many of our products by hand, right here in Colorado. We hand-craft all of our own copper garden trellises, arbors, gazebos, windowboxes, and of course, our entire line of beautiful furniture and accessories. We welcome the chance to create that special piece just for your home or landscape! We also carry high quality complimentary lines of copper weathervanes, cupolas, finials, landscape lighting, garden ornaments and windchimes. In addition, we offer exquisite hand-crafted copper vases, bowls and mirrors, brass outdoor faucets and many unique accessories to help bring your home and garden to life! Take some time to view the individual links at the top of each page, you just may find that piece you always wanted but never knew existed. All of our beautiful products make wonderful gifts for that special occasion. If still undecided, we do offer gift certificates. We hand-craft many of our copper products ourselves; all of our unique garden structures and furniture in addition to many accessories. We have been in business online since 1999, before this we toured the country showing our handiwork at many arts and crafts shows and home and garden shows. We started GI Designs as a Partnership in 1999 and now we have Incorporated in 2002, with the same individuals as in the Partnership and a few more talented and artistic individuals who want to make you, our customer, happy! All G.I. Designs products are crafted of copper and a surprising
line of complimentary materials which come together to create pieces
that will age gracefully and last a lifetime. This is why we at
G.I. Designs say, We are members of the BBB Online because we subscribe to their business principals of treating our customers the way we would like to be treated! Except for our "Links" page, we accept no advertisements from anyone on our website. If you see a banner on our site, it is a cross-link to another product that we sell on our website. ORDERING INFORMATION:
Ordering is easy! Just use our handy and secure shopping cart setup. Find the item or items that you want and add them to the shopping cart. To check and see what you have added to cart, click View Cart. Then, when you are done shopping, you must click the red Checkout link at the top of any product page. Here you will also be able to tell how much your packing and shipping charges will be. These normally run 12-15% of your order total, although shipping on some items is Free of Extra Charge. The page where you purchase the item will usually tell you if shipping is at no charge or not.
You will then be taken to a SECURE order fulfillment page where you will fill out the required billing information. We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa and checks. NO ORDERS are authorized "live" online! If there is currently a sale or promotion taking place, we will send an e-mail receipt to you shortly after you place your order showing the discounted total. AND of course, you may always call us toll-free if you are more comfortable speaking to someone "live"!
Your order will be shipped within 2-21 business days, in addition, please add time in transit from Colorado to your location. Please remember that most of our copper products are hand-crafted by us here in Colorado, your purchase will be worth this small wait! (Custom orders may take much longer due to the design and approval process). Weathervanes and lighting usually ship within five business days. Cupolas, during the spring and summer months may take up to 2-4 weeks to ship to you from PA. All items noted for free shipping are shipped UPS Ground inside the continental U.S. only. If you are located outside the Continental U.S. We will notify you of the extra shipping charges before your credit card is ever authorized. We do not quote customs/duties to Countries outside the U.S. as we have no way of knowing what these will be. If you are shipping to a location outside the U.S., please contact your local Customs Agent Office for information on any duties, taxes or levies possibly due at delivery.
For large custom orders, you will be charged one half of order total upon initial order, and the other half upon completion. PLEASE keep in mind that if there is something that you want and don't see on our pages, we are very willing to do special orders. Contact us and we will help you get the exact piece that you need. We here at GI Designs always try to treat our customers as we would like to be treated!
We want you to be happy with your purchase! At G.I. Designs, we only use heavy wall copper tube in the design and fabrication of the majority of our pieces (not type M copper, a thin-wall copper tube). We stay away from using plumbing fittings (elbows, tees, etc.) as we do not like the "look" of the finished product and don't think that you would either. Our method of joining is much more labor intensive but we believe that you will appreciate our attention to detail. PLEASE pay close attention in ordering from other online companies as products shown online as computer images aren't always clear enough to "see" the plumbing fittings that are used in joining. If you are after that "industrial" look, we would be happy to custom design something for you using plumbing fittings to join the pieces during fabrication. Also, we DO make use of copper sheet, copper flat bar, copper rod and copper square tube, although these materials drive up the price of the finished piece quite a bit due to their raw cost. This does not mean that something is wrong with our secure server website, it merely means that you have to update your browser. Our web site's Ordering pages are secure with 128-bit encryption by Thawte. Unlike some competitors sites, GI Designs Never sets "cookies" on your computer to track your online movements or gather information about you. We do not allow any other companies to set "cookies" on your computer either when you are visiting our site. We respect your privacy and do not want you to be a victim of unwanted annoying spam e-mail. The only "cookie" set is asked for upon entering our secure server to place your online order and this is from www.gochargeit.com. This is only asked for to protect your credit card purchase. You always have the option of calling or faxing your order and we provide you with a toll-free number to do so!
Our fabrication shop and office is physically located in NE Denver, CO on Niagara Street. If you would like to visit, please call first to setup an appointment. We would be happy to visit with you and show you, in person, our wonderful hand-crafted products.

NOTICE: Please note that with all the computer viruses being sent these days that we at GI Designs will never send you an e-mail with an attachment unless we notify you that it is coming. Many times, we will post images of your custom project on one of the pages on our web site, instead of sending you an e-mail with an attachment. We use the best anti-virus software, updated daily, here at the offices of GI Designs. This coffee table is an excellent example
of our custom work. This order was done for a client in Denver. She wanted
a very unique stone for an irregular shaped top. We found this piece of
Desert Basin Sandstone with its sedimentary bands of color that worked
perfectly. The copper base is shaped to flow with the contours of the
stone and has a shelf for magazines. A patina was applied to the copper
and burnished to give it an aged, weathered look.
WARRANTY: We warranty our products for a period of one year against
defects.
